Throughout my life I have always found the expression of art through beauty, fashion and music fulfilling and endlessly stimulating!
It all began when I gained my level 2 & 3 diploma in Hair & Media Makeup at Oldham College. I set out working on a freelance basis which allowed me to work on the set of music videos, fashion shoots and music festivals. As a creative, naturally, I’m drawn to using colour and new techniques; I find a lot of inspirations from high fashion and sub culture trends you see in magazines, YouTube, and even socialising in the City. Although practicing this style of makeup of excites me, I know I possess a sense of perfectionism that allows me to apply glamour makeup very well. I hope through working in the salon I can gain some valuable experience and meet some friends in my local community.
My love for high fashion is what lead me to study Fashion Marketing at university where I found my interest in designing and making clothes. The feeling I get from wearing something I made not only ,gives me a buzz but I feel comforted that I’m wearing something that I know is ethically and sustainably sourced. I’m still in the early stages of my dress making journey but it’s been a useful hobby so far, especially during the pandemic where I was able to provide masks to people in need.
